A Taste of Summer in Provence

Grab your apron and head to the South of France — no passport required.

In this hands-on session, teens will cook a full Provençal menu inspired by sunny markets, fresh herbs, and classic French comfort food. We’ll chop, mix, season, bake, and plate like real cooks, then sit down together to enjoy everything we’ve made.

What’s on the menu:

  • Salade Niçoise — crisp vegetables, baby potatoes, eggs, tuna (optional), and a bright vinaigrette

  • Stuffed Tomatoes (Tomates Farcies) — juicy tomatoes filled with a savory baked meat stuffing

  • Lavender Sablé Cookies — buttery French cookies with a hint of lavender

Lunch is included — and yes, they’ll eat what they make

Ingredients & dietary notes

This session may include:

  • Vegetables: tomatoes, green beans, lettuce, onions, garlic

  • Proteins: tuna, eggs, ground meat (for stuffed tomatoes)

  • Dairy: butter

  • Gluten: wheat flour

  • Other: olives, herbs, olive oil, lavender

Kitchen safety

Safety is a top priority. Students will use age-appropriate knives and receive clear instruction on proper knife handling, cutting techniques, and kitchen safety before starting. All cooking is closely supervised in a supportive, calm environment.
